Lamb numbers lifted and the quality was very good with plenty of well finished trade and heavy lambs offered. There were good
runs of Merinos, along with a few light weight lambs. All the usual buyers operated in a cheaper market.
The 2 score processing lambs sold from $68 to $113/head. Medium and heavy trade lambs to 24kg were $3 to $5 cheaper,
making from $117 to $158/head averaging from 620c to 630c/kg. Heavy lambs to 26kg eased $2 to $3, receiving from $153 to
$169 and extra heavy lambs over 26kg made from $160 to $215/head, averaging from 585c to 605c/kg cwt. Heavy merino
lambs sold from $128 to $152/head. Hoggets reached $150/head.
Mutton numbers eased and the quality was mixed, but there were plenty of heavy sheep offered. Medium and heavy sheep sold
to a dearer trend, while the light weights were firm. Medium weight ewes sold from $71 to $118/head. Heavy crossbred ewes
received from $112 to $169 and Merino wethers reached $147/head. Carcase prices made from 380c to 480c/kg cwt on the
better covered sheep
