Numbers decreased sharply this sale, with both lamb and mutton showing the decrease. Lamb quality was fair, with good numbers of grain assisted finished lambs offered, along with the plainer types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market. There was some restocker activity, with plainer store types receiving from $70 to $135/head. Light lambs sold from $120 to $128/head. Trade weights lifted $10, with prices varying from $128 to $165/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs increased $10 to $15/head. Heavy lambs up to 26kg sold from $160 to $188/head. Extra heavy weights varied in price from $181 to $234/head. Carcase prices averaged from 640c to 680c/kg cwt. Mutton quality continues to be very mixed and prices varied. Merino ewes sold from $88 to $140/head. Crossbreds sold from $88 to $183, as Dorper ewes reached $129/head.
