Numbers eased slightly this sale and quality continues to be similar to that of previous weeks. There was good numbers of well finished lambs
on offer, along with the plainer types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market.
Light lambs reached $145/head. Trade weights were firm to $4 better, with prices varying from $150 to $189/head. Heavy and extra heavy
weight lambs were well supplied and sold $4 to $5/head dearer. Heavy lambs to 26kg sold from $180 to $217, with those over 26kg receiving
from $223 to $270/head. Carcase prices averaged from 765c to 799c/kg cwt.
Mutton quality was fair, with good numbers of medium and heavy weight sheep on offer. Merinos made up the majority of the yarding and
prices were strong. Merino ewes sold from $111 to $245/head. Crossbred ewes varied in price from $125 to $228, with Dorper ewes receiving
from $100 to $194/head. Merino wethers sold from $112 to $225/head
