Numbers lifted this sale with lambs showing the increase. Lamb quality was similar to that of previous sales with good numbers of finished
lambs on offer. Heavy and extra heavyweight lambs were well supplied. The usual buyers were present and competing in another dearer
market.
Light lambs sold from $144 to $165/head. Trade weights were $10 dearer with prices ranging from $160 to $218/head. Heavy and extra
heavyweight lambs sold $20/head dearer and more in places. Heavy lambs to 26kg ranged from $216 to $275 with those over 26kg receiving
$257 to $320/head. Carcase prices averaged from 916c to 969c/kg cwt.
Mutton quality was similar to that of previous sales. Merinos made up the majority of the offering and sold from $110 to $251/head.
Crossbred ewes received from $125 to $240 with Dorper ewes ranging from $100 to $225/head. Merino wethers sold from $113 to
$233/head.
