Numbers dropped by 463 for a yarding of 576 cattle. Quality was mixed with some good runs of feeders and heavy prime cattle. Most of the regular buyers were present.
Young cattle to the trade were firm, prime yearling steers sold from 220c to 345c and heifers, 200c to 330c/kg. Feeder steers gained 5c, 250c to 370c and feeder heifers were 20c dearer, 220c to 326c/kg.
Prime grown steers were 9c better, 270c to 338c and prime grown heifers were considerably dearer, 220c to 338c/kg. Cows held firm, 2 and 3 scores sold from 118c to 212c and heavy prime cows, 210c to 220c/kg. Bulls sold to 190c/kg.
