FORBES CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT 15/07/24

Total Yarding : 1220

Numbers dropped by 1100 for a yarding of 1220 cattle. Quality was mixed with a good supply of prime yearlings on offer as well as cattle lacking finish suitable for feeders and restockers. Most of the regular buyers were present.

Prime yearling steers to process held firm, 329c to 370c while yearling heifers gained 20c, 275c to 376c/kg. Feeder steers were firm to cheaper, 300c to 400c and feeder heifers were up to 20c dearer, 280c to 349c/kg.

Prime grown steers sold 15c to 20c better, 301c to 375c and prime grown heifers dropped 10c, 270c to 366c/kg. Cows were 15c dearer, 2 and 3 scores sold from 150c to 280c and heavy prime cows, 280c to 320c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 278c/kg.
