Rainfall throughout the region contributed to a decrease in numbers, compared to two weeks ago, for a total yarding of 735 mixed quality cattle. There were an increased number of young cattle returning to the paddock, along with a few good pens of prime yearlings. There were some good runs of heavy grown cattle and 180 cows. A full field of buyers were operating, selling to a firm to slightly dearer market.

Well-bred young steers to the restockers made from 500c to 601c, and the heifer portion were considerably dearer, making from 470c to 540c/kg. Trade yearlings were up to 10c dearer, with the steers selling from 489c to 506c, and heifers sold from 476c to 515c/kg. The limited supply of feeder steers was price unchanged, ranging from 482c to 570c, and heifers to feed were 8c better, selling from 420c to 488c/kg.

Heavy grown steers reached 510c, and heifers sold from 420c to 488c/kg. Most of the leaner cows returned to the paddock, selling to dearer trends, making from 360c to 396c, and heavy prime cows lifted 5c, topping at 426c, to average 415c/kg. The best heavy weight bull to process made 410c/kg.
