Numbers fell this sale and quality was very mixed. There was an increased yarding of secondary cattle penned along with the better bred types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market.
Yearling steers to feed were firm to eater depending on quality with prices ranging from 290 to 368c/kg. The finished portion to processors sold from 280 to 334c/kg. The heifer portion was also better with those to feed receiving from 268 to 305c/kg. The better types to processors ranged from 255c to 320c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks were limited but showed a dearer trend reaching 299c/kg. Grown heifers reached 304c/kg. Cows were fairly steady with heavy 2score selling from 185 to 212c and 3 score ranging from 190 to 220c/kg.
