Lamb numbers lifted and the quality was again good with plenty of well finished trade and heavy weights but a few less extra heavy lambs. In the additional numbers there were a few more secondary lambs offered. All of the usual orders were operating and the market sold to a stronger trend.

Store lambs to 18kg sold from $155 to $262/head and the medium and heavy trade weights 20 to 24kg sold from $262 to $318/head lifting between $10 and $15/head and averaged 1245c/kg. The 24 to 26kg lambs sold from $309 to $337/head or 1250c/kg. heavy lambs sold from $323 to $368/head and gained $6 to $8/head and averaged 1230c/kg. Extra heavy lambs sold to a top of $430/head. The best priced hoggets were Merinos with nearly 50mm of wool and reached $328/head. Most hoggets ranged from 1050c to 1100c/kg.

Mutton numbers lifted and the quality remains mixed, prices were stronger with the light and medium weights having some of the bigger gains. Medium weight ewes sold from $186 to $224 and heavy crossbred ewes sold to $347 and the best Merino ewes $316/head. Most ranged between 850c and 900c/kg cwt.
