Number jumped this sale with agents yarding 1843 head. Quality was mixed with both well finished and feeder cattle penned. There were some good lines of well bred cattle offered along with the secondary types. There was an extra buyer present and competing in a dearer market.
Light steers to restockers reached 410c/kg. Yearling steers to feed jumped 25c to sell from 294 to 402c/kg. Those to processors were 6c better to receive from 294 to 326c/kg. The heifer portion was 10 better with feeders paying from 270 to 339c/kg with those to processors ranging in price from 260 to 320c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks lifted 10c to sell from 280 to 314c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 250 to 304c/kg. Cows were 4 to 10c better with heavy 2 score from 242 to 268c and 3 score 260 to 276c/kg.
