Numbers eased slightly this sale with agents yarding 40400 head. There was 28450 lambs penned and quality was very mixed. There were some handy lines of finished lambs available along with a large percentage of secondary types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a fairly steady market.

Restockers continue to be very strong with lambs to the paddock selling from $200 to $278/head. Trade weight lambs were $3 to $5 better to sell from $259 to $295/head. Heavyweights to 26kg held steady to sell from $295 to $326/head. Extra heavyweights sold from $315 to $386/head. Carcase prices averaged 1051 to 1244c/kg. The best heavy hoggets reached $320/head.

There was 11950 mutton penned and quality was similar to previous sales. Merino made up the majority of the offering and sold from $173 to $269/head. Crossbreds received from $176 to $281/head with Dorper ewes from $179 to $250/head. Merino wethers sold from $180 to $265/head.
