Numbers fell this sale with agents yarding 42000 head. Lamb numbers fell to 31850 and quality was also reduced from the previous sale. There was an increased yarding of plainer store lambs. there was still a handy offering of grain assisted lambs available though there was less weight penned than the previous week. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.

Store lambs to restockers continue to attract strong competition selling from $230 to $270/head. Trade weight lambs slipped $6 to $8/head to sell from $253 to $304/head. Heavy and extra heavies were back $10 and more in places. Lambs to 26kg ranged from $276 to $326/head with extra heavyweights receiving $315 to $398/head. Carcase prices averaged 1047 to 1204c/kg.
The best heavy hogget reached $330/head.

Mutton numbers remained steady with 10150 yarded. Merino made up the majority and sold from $170 to $284/head. Crossbred ewes received from $177 to $300/head with Dorpers ranging from $160 to $256/head.
