There was a slight reduction in lamb numbers but the quality was good. There was an outstanding run of heavy trade and heavy lambs with only a small tail of light weights. There was a good mixed of crossbred lambs and Dorpers while Merinos were limited in volume. All the usual buyers were operating and competiting in a dearer market that had gains of $15 to $20/head across most lambs and hoggets.

The few 2 score processing lambs ranged from $60 to $110/head. Trade weights 22 to 24kg sold from $142 to $185/head with the majority ranging between 695c and 725c/kg cwt. The 24 to 26kg lambs sold from $168 to $198 and heavy lambs to 30kg ranged from $178 to $223/head or 725c/kg cwt on average. Extra heavy lambs reached $236/head. The best of the heavy hoggets reached $155/head.

Mutton numbers erased and the quality was very mixed. Prices varied on quality but averaged out to be similar with medium weight ewes selling from $42 to $72/head and heavy crossbred ewes reached $110/head. Merinos with a long jacket reached $105/head and most sold between 235c and 260c/kg cwt.
