Total Yarding –1074 Hd

Numbers lifted this sale with agents yarding 1074 head. Quality was mixed but fair with some good lines of well bred cattle offered along with the plainer and secondary types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a fairly steady market.

Yearling steers to feed held steady to sell from 300 to 360c/kg. Finished lines to processors were also firm to receive from 270 to 320c/kg. The heifer portion fluctuated with quality with those to feed selling from 270c to 315c/kg. The better finished types ranged in price from 270 to 318c/kg.

Heavy steers and bullocks sold from 285 to 318c with grown heifers ranging from 260 to 291c/kg.

Cows also held steady with heavy 2 score selling from 222 to 246c with 3 score ranging from 243 to 257c/kg. A large run of PTIC cows to restockers sold from 248 to 262c/kg.
